Amir Khan back on track but untested against Molina

Amir Khan looked very impressive against a smaller, much less skilled Carlos Molina.Khan was lightning fast all night out pointing Molina badly in every round.Khan looked much more composed and even when hit he did not get too excited and brawl. He stuck to the game plan his new trainer Virgil Hunter laid out and got the 10th round KO when Molina’s corner stopped the fight.

Now all eyes turn to Khan’s next opponent.Khan wants Danny Garcia but Garcia faces Zab Judah next in late January so most likely they won’t meet until the end of the year if both continue to win.The talk is Khan will likely be matched against Josesito Lopez next.Golden Boy wants to milk the last drop of interest out of Lopez after he was crushed by Canelo a few months back.Lopez can only live off his win over Victor Ortiz so long.Let’s be honest,Lopez did break Ortiz’s jaw but he was losing the fight. It was a win due to an injury not a win that Lopez got by out boxing Ortiz or KO’ing him by skill. Then we saw how Canelo took Lopez apart in a fight Lopez should not have been giving due to his size alone.

If Khan faces Lopez next i expect Khan to blitz Lopez and get the KO within 6 rounds.Lopez is not that good and the speed of Khan will totally overwhelm him. These plans might change but if this is Khan’s next fight ,we will definatly  see Garcia vs Khan 2.
