We are just about ready for Luis Collazo to take on Victor Ortiz in what will be a fight that elevates the winner to a possible world title shot next.So many things will play into this fight.More of the questions involve Victor Ortiz though. We know Collazo will come out with an aggressive ,smart gameplan. But what Victor Ortiz will show up? The dangerous, focused Ortiz that beat Andre Berto or the unfocused Ortiz that quit against Marcos Maidana and blew up mentally against Floyd Mayweather.Or will it be something in between? Collazo has waited since The Barclay’s Center opened in 2012 to headline here and Thursday night he finally gets his chance.

As far as what I see happening in this fight..I will go with the best case situation for Collazo.Collazo will outbox Ortiz in the early rounds which will lead to Ortiz taking more chances later on.We might even see a more cautious Ortiz protecting his chin after it was broken a year and a half ago by Josesito Lopez.Ortiz will not only be more cautious than he should be but he will have serious ring rust. This will be in comparasin with a sharp Collazo who has been active the entire time Ortiz was on the shelf.Look for Collazo to win more rounds in route to a close unanimous decision that some may even say was close enough to give to Ortiz.Ortiz won’t have his A game on and it will be enough for Collazo, who will be sky high off the energy of The Barclay’s fans rooting for him, to outwork Ortiz enough to get the decision.
